With the Royal Air Force having such a strong background in Suffolk we decided that the RAF Benevolent Fund would be a great charity to benefit from IpSwing. The fact that our organiser is a retired RAF officer had nothing to do with it!
The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF’s leading welfare charity with a proud tradition of looking after its own. They are there for all serving and former members of the RAF as well as their partners and dependent children.
They ensure that your donations are spent directly on meeting the needs of the RAF Family: each year they assist around 41,000 serving RAF, veterans and their dependants.
Their welfare support is the bedrock of everything they do. From childcare and relationship difficulties to injury and disability, and from financial hardship and debt to illness and bereavement, they help any member of the RAF Family in a broad range of issues.
In 2016, they spent more than £17 million on welfare delivery.
