We are thrilled to have Katie’s Crooked Swing Band perform at Ipswing on Saturday 21 July 2018. They are a lively five-piece band that deliver jazz with a great beat for swing dancing, playing jazz favourites from the 30s and 40s with a few modern classics thrown in.
Katie has been singing with jazz and big bands for some time, but she also loves to dance the lindy hop. So she decided to bring the two together, and the band was born! Their first gig was in a small venue in Southsea, and I was lucky enough to attend that gig. Now they are performing in larger venues and are making their festival debut at Ipswing!
